3. Corporate Membership of ISAM. The Secretary brought out that though it was decide in the last ECM to contact JK Industries/ Raymond for corporate membership, the same was not done as the response from the group during the 49th ISAM conference was not encouraging.
Decision. The point was discussed and it was decided that corporate groups related to aviation like Reliance, Pawanhans, Raymond, Jindal etc. may be contacted for corporate membership. |

| 4. Digital Archiving of IJASM. Secretary informed that the activity had started with necessary budgetary allocation to IAM to get the same done. Commandant IAM informed the house that the activity of archiving had run into a problem as the vendor (M/S I web tune) had closed down the company after taking an advance of Rs 25,000/-. The matter is at hand to recover the money paid to him and retrieve the journals given to him. Following this would be a search for some other reliable vendor to do the work. Decision. The point was deliberated and it was decide to keep a close watch on the progress of the same and to keep the Society HQ informed. |

5. ISAM website Maintenance. Commandant IAM informed that the website was being maintained by the same vendor M/S I web tune for almost 10 years and this company had shut down. A new vendor was required to maintain the website. Secretary informed the house that a domain name ‘isam.in’ had already been purchased.
Decision. A suitable company to host website needs to be found and the activity started at an early date. |

6. Visit of MD students to Space Centres in India/ abroad. Secretary informed that this year the MD students are to visit Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) at Trivandrum and that a budgetary allocation for a foreign country has also been planned. He requested Commandant IAM to pursue the same.
Decision. It was decided that IAM will forward a fresh SOC for the proposed student's visit after the faculty visit under aegis of ISRO is accomplished. |

| 7. Equipment and facility improvement at IAM & Medical Centres. The Secretary informed that equipment through DGCA funds has been procured and placed at several Boarding Centres. |

| 8. Civil airlines doctors to subscribe to course at IAM. Secretary informed that a letter has been sent to DGCA to instruct airlines to subscribe to the one-week and two week courses on Civil Aviation Medicine for doctors at IAM. He also informed the house that the workshop for Class I & II doctors conducted at IAM in Mar 10 were organised under the aegis of the Society. Secretary informed that in future even the certificates would have the ISAM logo. |

| 9. Election of Fellow of ISAM. The Secretary informed that pursuant to a decision on this in the last ECM, a three member Committee (Air Cmde PS Sodhi, Gp Capt Deepak Gaur and Wg Cdr R Baijal) has been approved by the President to decide on objective criteria and select fellow for ISAM. Necessary amendment to the ISAM Memorandum is being done. |

| 10.TMS on Hyperbaric Medicine. The Commandant IAM informed that the TMS would come out as planned. Inputs have already been sought from other service establishments having the facility. |

| 11.Grant for Academic Improvement. Secretary informed that as decided in the ECM, Rs 10,000/- each have been granted to the MEC (East), AMTCs and NAMC. The same has been well received and shall serve its purpose. |

| 12. Bid for ICASM 2014 or later. Secretary informed that an ‘in-principle' approval for bid for ICASM to be held at Delhi has been obtained from the CAS and DGAFMS. The matter is with MoD. Once approved, a bid would be made.

13. Sponsorship of civilian students for attending Annual ISAM Conference. Commandant IAM informed that this year the fund would not be utilised as the Conference is in Bangalore .
Decision. In the next year, the funds would be used for the purpose. |

| 14. Departmental Research Project 2 Wg AF. Secretary informed that he had written to SMO Pune for initiating action on fore-closure of the project. |

| ITEM - II : APPLICATION OF NEW MEMBERS |

| 15. Secretary informed that Gp Capt S Bhargava has applied for Associate Fellowship. Also, AVM AK Behl AVSM and Gp Capt Tarun Dutta (Retd) have applied for life membership. The applications were in order and duly recommended by fellows as required.
Decision. The ECM accepted the applications and approved the same subject to ratification by GBM. |

| 16. The Secretary informed that two dates had been proposed for 50 th ISAM Conference at Bangalore and the final decision would be taken by the CAS in June. |

| ITEM - IV : FRESH AGENDA POINTS |

17. Sponsoring delegates to AsMA/ ICASM. Secretary ISAM proposed sponsoring of two delegates to attend AsMA/ ICASM each year from the Society. He proposed that they could travel by budget airlines and stay at budget hotels.
Decision. The proposal was deliberated upon and it was decided that the official process of sending delegate be continued and pursued meticulously. The delegate fee sponsorship for AsMA/ ICASM is already permissible from ISAM funds, for members whose papers are accepted and who wish to travel at own expense. Enhancing this financial outlay to further offset the expenses by individual members may be considered by the ECM, if the proposal is ratified by GBM.

18. CME during ISAM. AVM AK Behl AVSM proposed that the CMEs during the ISAM be made in the format of a focussed symposium on a particular topic of general/ aviation interest.
Decision. It was decided that CHAF(B) make out a proposal for the two CMEs (one medical could be on Hypertension and cardiovascular problems and one surgical on skeleton-muscular disorders) at Bangalore . The focus would still be the field practitioner. |

19. Travelling Fellowship . AVM AK Behl AVSM proposed that to propagate the speciality of Aerospace Medicine, members could be designated as visiting fellow and they could travel to Institutes/ Centres and spread the relevance of the subject. Some of the expenditure or a token sum could be paid to the visiting professor alongwith a certificate during the ISAM meetings.
Decision. It was decided that the Secretary ISAM study the same and submit a proposal in this regard. |

20. Secretary ISAM brought out that the President ISAM would be retiring shortly. He enumerated his achievements and accomplishments during the two year tenure as President of the Society. All members joined to thank him for his efforts and bid him happiness and health in his subsequent pursuits. On behalf of the society, a memento was presented to him by AVM Navin Rattan VSM. |
