Aerospace/ Defense Testing
Wyle is one of the world's most experienced qualification testing operations focusing in the aerospace and U.S. Department of Defense arena yet also serving a wide range of other customer bases. Company facilities are available for "one-stop-shopping" for natural and induced environments, complete with some of the largest climatic test chambers and vibration systems commercially available. Wyle has one of the most extensive dynamics capabilities in the world and conducts test programs ranging from simple vibration tests of small components to full scale tests of large systems, many requiring multishaker/multiaxes excitation. Wyle offers broad experience and capabilities in structural testing to verify design integrity, evaluate risk, define failure mechanisms or demonstrate reliability.

Extensive facilities support multiple, simultaneous set-up and testing of various structures, and include custom-designed fixtures and sophisticated instrumentation. From hydraulic impulse to steam to cryogenics, Wyle operates unique facilities with specialized high flow, high pressure gases, liquids, slurries, gels and multiphase flow capabilities. The company is also expert in testing initiators, rocket motors, bombs, projectiles, missile assemblies and other items containing high explosives.

Commercial testing :
Wyle provides compliance testing to all major standards including ANSI/UL, ASTM, Bellcore, CE, DOT, ETSI, FCC, IEC, IEEE, SAE and many other domestic and international requirements. Wyle has the staff expertise, recognitions and accreditations necessary to facilitate access to global markets, while reducing duplicative testing and associated costs. Early on in the development of a testing program, Wyle engineers can assist with designing for compliance, and post-test analyses are offered to expedite compliance achievement. Time-to-market is further expedited because of Wyle's large staff and depth of facilities. Wyle focuses its test capabilities in the areas of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, telecommunications equipment qualification, product safety certification and packaging certification. As an OSHA Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), Wyle is authorized to test and list products to numerous ANSI/UL standards plus other safety requirements.

The company's NRTL accreditation covers the following areas: telecommunication systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment; lightening and electrical control systems; medical, dental and X-ray equipment; office equipment and machinery; power supplies, transformers and molded circuit breakers; test machinery, and equipment; and a wide range of others.

Nuclear Services
Wyle is a primary supplier of safety -related testing services and equipment, engineering, research and consulting services to nuclear utilities and nuclear equipment manufacturers throughout the world. The company is the nation's leading safety relief valve recertification service organization; the leading source of on-site snubber inspection, testing and repair services; and a leader in third party qualification services. Wyle also maintains significant valve and engineering, analysis and testing capabilities to support performance efforts and solve fluid component problems. These unique capabilities are supported by the company's "hot shop" facilities, which are licensed to safety test, overhaul and repair radioactive components.

Acoustic Research
Wyle is the world leader in the development of acoustic science. From air spaces to railroads and highways, Wyle acoustic engineers have hands-on experience identifying, measuring and assessing the environmental impact of nearly all the types of noise sources, both in the field and the laboratory. Company engineers conducted the nation's first airport sound insulation project at Los Angeles International Airport and helped write California' s airport noise regulations, which have served as model for other states. Building on that work, Wyle's staff developed a unique software program that couples airport noise and population density, leading to effective regional home and office insulation strategies.
