The Indian Society of Aerospace Medicine, formerly known as the Aeromedical Society of India, is a professional organization composed of specialists in Aerospace Medicine, Psychology, Medicine, Physiology, Neuropsychiatry, Biophysics, Life sciences, Medical Electronics, Aerospace Engineering and Technology and allied fields. The objective of the Society is to promote the sciences and art of Aerospace Medicine by stimulating investigations as well as disseminating knowledge. The society establishes and maintains co-operation between the medical and other sciences concerned with aviation and space activities in an effort to promote and maintain safe mission accomplishment in the aerospace environment. The following will be eligible to be admitted to the society as ordinary members subject to the approval of the Executive Committee.

1. A medical practitioner or scientist, civil or military, who is interested in aerospace medicine or allied sciences.
   

2. A serving or retired officer of the medical or dental branch of Indian Air Force, Indian Navy or Indian Army.
   

3. A serving or retired officer of Indian Air Force.

Membership Fee

Sustaining Life Membership Fee Rs.5000.00 (US$250 for foreign members).
Annual Membership Fee Rs.500.00 (US$25 for foreign members).
Admission Fee Rs. 250.00 (US$15 for foreign members).

Payments are to be made in cash directly to the office or by cheque payble to "The Secretary, Indian Society of Aerospace Medicine, New Delhi". Add Rs 50.00 as Bank charges for outstation cheques.

"Indian Journal of Aerospace Medicine" is published biannually by the society and is circulated free of cost to all members.
